- Objective To conduct a narrative literature review into the SPD from the position of a manual therapist. Resulting in manual therapy positively influencing the condition. MethodsNarrative literature review leading to evaluation of randomised control trials, qualitative research and systematic literature reviews using suitable scoring systems. Results Randomised control trials show to be the best form of research with qualitative and systematic being inferior methods. Poor scoring systems lead to potential author bias
