Introduction
Migraine has an incidence of 10-15% in general population. Various studies have attempted to demonstrate the effectiveness of osteopathic treatment in patients with migraine showing no conclusive results.
The aim of this pre-post cuasiexperimental study was to determine the effectiveness of Osteopathic Treatment with Fluid Approach (OMT-AF) in patients with migraine.
Methods
12 patients participated, ages 26 to 49, 8 of them women, all diagnosed with migraine. Only one group of individuals was studied, all receiving treatment and being followed for a period of one and a half months, obtaining objective data changes using Headache Impact Test (HIT-6) and Short-Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36) questionnaires to measure quality of life, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) to quantify pain and the number of migraines in the last fifteen days.
Results
WILCOXON approximation was used, with a level of significance of 0,05%. An improvement was observed, obtaining p=0,008 in HIT-6, p=0,013 in SF-36, p=0,004 in VAS and p=0,016 in the number of migraines. Conclusions
OMT-AF in patients with migraine improves quality of life perception, reduces pain and reduces the number of migraines. - Abstract

Introducción
La migraña tiene una incidencia del 10-15% en la población. Existen estudios que pretenden demostrar la efectividad del tratamiento osteopático en pacientes con migraña sin ser esclarecedores.
El objetivo de este estudio cuasi-experimental pre-post fue determinar la eficacia del Tratamiento Osteopático con abordaje fluídico (OMT-AF) en pacientes con migraña.
Metodología
Participaron 12 pacientes de 26 a 49 años, 8 de ellos mujeres, diagnosticados de migraña. Se trabajó con un solo grupo de individuos, recibiendo todos tratamiento y efectuándose seguimiento durante un mes y medio, objetivándose los cambios obtenidos con los cuestionarios Headache Impact Test (HIT-6) y Short-Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36) para la calidad de vida, la Escala Visual Analógica (EVA) para el dolor y el número de migrañas en los últimos 15 días.
Resultados
Se utilizó la aproximación de WILCOXON con un nivel de significancia del 0,05%. Se observó una mejoría en el HIT-6 donde p=0,008, en el SF-36 p=0,013, en la EVA p=0,004 y en el número de migrañas p=0,016. Conclusiones
El OMT-AF en pacientes con migraña mejora la percepción de calidad de vida, disminuye el dolor y el número de migrañas. - presented at
