Introduction: Total Body Adjustment (TBA) is a treatment routine that covers the entire structure of the body through slow, smooth and rhythmic joints, releasing skeletal muscle tension, reducing nociceptive affections, favoring circulation and drainage and relaxing the patient. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of TBA treatment on the disability perceived by the patient with chronic neck pain, measured with Neck Disability Index (NDI).Methodology: prospective experimental study conducted during the months of December 2017 to June 2018. The simple was a convenience simple of 10 patients. The intervention consisted in carrying out the routine treatment of TBA in patients with chronic neck pain. Four interventions were made to each patient with a separation of 2 weeks between treatments. NDI was measured before each session of TBA.
Results: Treatment with TBA decreased significantly NDI in patients with chronic neck pain.
Conclusions: This series of cases suggests that TBA may be a treatment effective for patients with chronic neck pain. - Abstract

Introducción: El Total Body Adjustment (TBA) es una rutina de tratamiento que cubre la estructura completa del cuerpo mediante articulaciones lentas, suaves y rítmicas, liberando tensiones músculo esqueléticas, reduciendo aferencias nociceptivas, favoreciendo la circulación y el drenaje y relajando al paciente. El objetivo de este estudio fue examinar el efecto del tratamiento con TBA sobre la discapacidad percibida por el paciente con dolor cervical crónico, medido con el cuestionario Índice de Discapacidad Cervical (IDC).
Metodología: estudio prospectivo experimental realizado durante los meses de diciembre de 2017 a junio de 2018. La muestra fue de conveniencia de 10 pacientes. La intervención consistió en realizar la rutina de tratamiento de TBA a pacientes con dolor cervical crónico. Se realizaron 4 intervenciones a cada paciente con una separación de 2 semanas entre tratamientos. El IDC se midió antes de cada sesión de TBA.
Resultados: El IDC disminuyó significativamente tras los tratamientos con TBA en pacientes con dolor cervical crónico (p: 0,002).
Conclusiones: Esta serie de casos sugiere que el TBA puede ser un tratamiento efectivo para los pacientes con dolor cervical crónico. - presented at
