Introducció: a través de l’estudi quasi-experimental present es va comparar el tractament osteopàtic craneosacral (CST) versus osteopàtic manipulatiu (OMT) en pacients amb dolor lumbar crònic inespecífic (NCLBP). Els resultats de l’estudi indicaren que les tècniques escollides disminueixen els símptomes presents. Mètode: La mostra de 10 pacients (mitjana d’edat 34.8) que sofrien NCLBP sense patologia definida es va valorar l’efectivitat dels tractaments mitjançant les escales EVA i OWESTRY, realitzant 2 tractaments i 3 valoracions per pacient separades en 3 setmanes de diferència.
Resultats: Es van evidenciar millores en les valoracions EVA i OWESTRY. OMT i CST van obtenir avances en el tractament de NCLBP, essent lleugerament més significatiu amb OMT. En cap tractaments no hi va haver remissió complerta del dolor o de la incapacitat funcional en les AVD.
Conclusions: CST com OMT serien tractaments indicats per la milloria del dolor, essent OMT lleugerament més favorable. En quant al abordatge bio-psico-social valorat mitjançant l’escala OWESTRY no s’han pogut obtenir els resultats esperats degut a la subjectivitat i paràmetres no controlables pel fet de ser un estudi quasi-experimental sense grup control. - Abstract

Introduction: through a quasi-experimental study was intended to compare between cranium-sacrum (CST) and osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) in patients with nonspecific chronic low back pain (NCLBP). The results of the review indicated that the chosen techniques decrease the symptoms.
Method: 10 patients with NCLBP (age average 34.8) without defined pathologies evaluated using EVA and OWESTRY scales, were done 2 treatments and 3 valuations 3 weeks between them.
Results: It had shown improvements with EVA and OWESTRY assessment. CST and OMT achieve progresses in the treatment of NCLBP, being slightly more significant with OMT. In both types of treatment there hadn’t been a complete resurgence of pain or functional disability in AVD.
Conclusions: CST and the OMT treatment are indicated in the decrease of pain, but in terms of the bio-psycho-social sensation valued by the OWESTRY scale, we couldn’t obtain the expected results. - presented at
