Introduction
The goal of this study is to evaluate the efectiveness of the osteopathic treatment in
relation to a benign thyroid tumor (NBT)
Methodology
To assess the efficiency of the osteopathic treatment, this study has been done through ecography test, which measures bilateral NBT before starting the first treatment and after the last treatment 1’5 months later. The periodicity of the treatments was every week. The treatment consisted in working the fascia around the thyroid gland (GT) and all the sympathetic connections through body adjustment technique (BA) (appendix 1). The patient did not go through any complementary treatment that may affect the final result.
The searching literature was done through the “pub med”, “Medline” and “Google scholar” databases, physiology, pathology and osteopathic books.
Results and discussion:
The ecography made before the first treatment showed a 1,04 cm vegetative polypodial nodule in the central part (appendix 2) and another on the right side of 0,57 cm uniform appearance (appendix 3). When the osteopathic treatments were finished, another ecography performed by the same doctor, showed a decrease from 1,04 to 1,01 (appendix 4) in the central nodule and a decrease from 0,57 to 0,27 of the right one (appendix 5).
Conclusions:
The osteopathic treatment for the GT in NBTT patients has been effective in reducing the size of the homogenous type of nodules, which has fallen by 50%. The image refering the vegetative nodule has fallen a 3%. - Abstract

Introducció:
La raó d’aquest estudi, és avaluar l’efectivitat del tractament osteopàtic en relació a una neoplàsia benigna de tiroides (NBT)
Metodologia:
La metodologia utilitzada alhora de valorar l’eficàcia del tractament osteopàtic, en la realització d’aquest estudi, ha estat fet a través de proves ecogràfiques, de manera que es van mesurar les NBT bilaterals que presentava la pacient, abans d’iniciar el tractament i 1’5 mesos després.
El tractament va consistir en treballar seguint les pautes del Body Adjustment (BA) (Annex 1), les fàscies que envolten la Glàndula Tiroides (GT) i tots els segments simpàtics relacionats.. La pacient no va realitzar durant el període de l’estudi, cap tractament complementari, que pogués alterar els resultats finals.
La cerca bibliogràfica es va fer a través de les bases de dades “Pubmed”, “ Medline”, “google scholar”, llibres de fisiologia, patologia mèdica així com llibres d’osteopatia.
Resultats i Discussió:
Abans d’iniciar el tractament, es fa estudi ecogràfic amb una troballa a la part central de un nòdul de 1,04cm amb imatges vegetativa poliploide ( annex 2), i un altre a la part dreta de 0,57mm d’aspecte homogeni. ( annex 3)
Un cop finalitzat els tractaments osteopàtics, constatem amb ajuda del mateix ecògraf i valorat per el mateix professional que el nòdul de la part central ha passat de 1,04cm a 1,01 cm (annex 4) i el nòdul central de 0,57mm ha passat a 0,27mm ( annex 5).
Conclusions:
El treball osteopàtic de la GT amb NBT ha resultat efectiva alhora de disminuir la mida dels nòduls de tipus homogeni, ja què han disminuït en un 50%. La imatge que contenia el nòdul vegetant poliploide ha disminuït en 3%. - presented at
