- The purpose of this clinical trial was to determine the efficiency of treatment of the diaphragm in nonspecific low back pain. To be precise, if there is a change in the patient's symptoms after the treatment of the diaphragm and thus evaluate the influence of the diaphragm on the lumbar spine. Twenty individuals have been monitored, ten in the control group and ten in the experimental group. The methodology used was the visual analogue pain scale (VAS) and the Oswestry scale, in order to evaluate the degree of low back pain in the patients. The results have been satisfactory. They show a significant effect before and after treatment. In the experimental group, the scores of both the visual analogue pain scale and the Oswestry scale have been decreasing. Sex was not a significant factor in any of the cases. The treatment of the diaphragm in non-specific low back pain is effective according to data collected in the study.

- El propósito del siguiente ensayo clínico consistió en determinar la eficacia del tratamiento sobre el diafragma en lumbalgias inespecíficas. Es decir, si existe un cambio en la sintomatología del paciente a partir del tratamiento del diafragma y, evaluar así, la influencia del diafragma sobre la columna lumbar. La muestra total del estudio ha sido de 20 individuos, 10 en el grupo control y 10 en el grupo experimental. La metodología empleada ha sido la escala visual analógica del dolor (EVA) y la escala de Oswestry, con el objetivo de valorar el grado de lumbalgia de los pacientes. Los resultados obtenidos han sido satisfactorios. Muestran un efecto significativo antes y después del tratamiento. En el grupo experimental las puntuaciones, tanto de la escala visual analógica del dolor como de la escala de Oswestry, fueron bajando sucesivamente. El factor sexo no fue significativo en ninguno de los casos. El tratamiento sobre el diafragma en lumbalgias inespecíficas es efectivo según los datos recogidos en el estudio.
