- Abstract
- Forty patients presenting to the British School of Osteopathy Clinic with previously diagnosed low back pain of a discal or facetal nature were selected and the shape of their lumbar lordotic curve was measured by the author using a flexicurve, with the patient in a standing position. Tangents were drawn against these flexicurve traces to measure the angle of lordosis for each patient. The study suggests that there seems to be no significant difference in the angle of lumbar lordosis between those patients presenting with disc injury or facet pain.
